This book is divided into two sections, which are joined by a gradient image of the sky and are based on the gesture of covering and uncovering the sun with a stone. Blue brings us closer to darkness, while yellow-orange brings us closer to light.

The first section addresses the phenomenon of glare, exploring the different ways in which light can pierce and burn. It also looks at the various forms of propagation, reflection and dispersion that give rise to phenomena such as rainbows and iridescent clouds.
The second section gradually approaches darkness, plunging into gloom where only small light sources and silhouettes remain. The two sections can be read visually together, generating a 'third image' that engages with both gloom and glare.

At the end of this visual journey, the final image between the two sections refers to the way the pupil dilates or contracts in response to light, testing the limits of vision.
