“"We use only one word to refer to this colour spectrum, but there are many types of grey," said Sofía. I wrote these words down in my notes and thought that it's an intermediate colour, transitioning from one shade to another, and that this can apply to many things. It's a spectrum that, like reality, defies definition — a constant swing between uncertainty and subjectivity. Between being and non-being, closeness and distance, black and white, shadow and light. If blue is for the eyes, grey is for events. In psychology, grey is considered a cold colour, not a neutral one. In colour theory, it is considered achromatic and has its own complementary colour. From a subjective point of view, it could be any colour. Finding shades in grey requires the will to see, drawing strength from weakness and making an extraordinary effort. If there were a black sun, its light would be grey”.
